A Day at the Park

I take Gavin to the park a lot on weekend mornings. This past weekend, on Saturday morning, I took him while people were feeding the ducks and geese, so Gavin got up close and personal with them (not within touching distance though I made sure). He was fascinated.

Playground

On May 29th, we took Gavin to the playground and let him try out the slide for the first time. He wasn’t impressed but we still took a few cute pictures. We’ll try again when he is a bit older.

He did like rocking on the playground’s horse though.

Fun with Uncle James

When we went out for Mom’s (Grandma Linda’s) birthday, before we left Gavin had great fun with his Uncle James.

He loved being swung around and, despite the terrified look on his face in the picture below, he was giggling as he swung.

Puppy Love

Gavin has been getting around and he is fast. He loves to chase or play with the dogs on the floor (under supervision of course). Pictures taken 5/21/2010.

Crawfish Boil

We took Gavin to Jim’s annual crawfish boil, but alas he did not get to eat any crawfish. He was the star of the show though and had a great time with his Grandma.

When we went out on my birthday/Mother’s Day on May 9th to Salt Grass Steak House, Gavin got to try out crayons for the first time. For some reason he really liked the red one but kept throwing the green one.

Standing Tall

Swing Away

Around 10 months old (end of April) Gavin got to experience swinging for the first time and he loves it. Every time we go to the park and I push him in the swing he grins and giggles. Sometimes he claps. It is a cutefest.

Party Time – Nancy’s Wedding

We took Gavin with us when we went to Nancy’s wedding on April 17th and had a great time. Gavin had lots of fun with Donna’s kids:

So it has been so long since I updated the blog that I am going to try to fill in the blanks as best I can. At this point in time, Gavin is crawling all over the place, pulling himself up to standing all the time, and once he is standing, he walks around if he has something to hold on to. If i hold his hands he will walk me around the house. He has even taken a step here and there all on his own but that is not common yet. So I have a couple months of pictures of him crawling and they progressively go to more standing shots. I will start at pictures from 10 months.
